Mar e Útero consists of a cinematic work that explores the relationship between water and the body, using alternative methods of recording sound. The materials used in this film include hydrophones, geophones, piezo contact microphones, ultrasound, and synthesizers. We follow the narrative arc of the gestation of a foetus from insemination to birth. The sound is accompanied by macro- and microscopic images of the processes within the womb and the sea, interspersed with self-archived footage.
